GENERAL MEETING

• The highest authority of the MÜST, has the following power and functions:

1. to update the Articles
2. to elect or depose directors, supervisors
3. to oversee the directors and supervisors in their performance of duties
4. to adjust the royalty rate and the Regulations of Royalty Distribution
5. to adjust the rate or amount of the management fee, the allocation ratio and amount of the public welfare fund, and the ratio of the handling fee which charges a member/an associate member for the inward distribution from overseas societies
6. to revise the specimens of the Musical Work Economic Copyrights Exclusive Management Agreement
7. to audit annual operation plans, budget and closing account
8. to appoint or remove the Complaint Committee members
9. to discharge membership
10. to dispose property
11. to dissolve the MÜST
12. to resolve other issues as related to members’ rights and obligations
13. to revise the manners of travel expenses receiving for the Chairman, the directors, the supervisors and the members of the Complaint Committee

SUPERVISOR COMMITTEE

• The number of Supervisors: Three Writer Supervisors and Two Publisher Supervisors

• Standing Supervisor: Peng, Ji-Kang

COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

• Taking charge of the disputes among MÜST, Members, Associate Members, Directors, Supervisors and the working staff
• The number of Complaint Committee Members: Five appointed by the Board of Directors from the MÜST’s members, independent figures in the society, scholars and experts
• The 10^th (current) session: appointed by the BOARD of DIRECTORS, submitted to the General Meeting for ratification (tenure 2023-2025)
• Complaint Committee Chairman: Chen, Yu-Zhen

GENERAL MANAGER

• Appointed by the Board of Directors
• Whose duties, responsibilities, and mission shall be subjected to the Articles, including internal management, licensing, promoting the business of the MÜST, and external negotiation

LEGAL and LICENSING

• Responsible for licensing affairs and to institute or defend any legal proceedings for the purpose of protecting the rights of Members
• Legal advisory service for Members

DISTRIBUTION and DOCUMENTATION

• Documenting domestic and foreign works, including music copyright assigning agreements
• Documenting music works in the usage list submitted by the users
• Distributing royalties to members and overseas societies in accordance with the matching results between the work registrations and the usage lists

INFORMATION

• Overall managing and developing information system

ADMINISTRATION

• Overall coordinating of financial income and expenditure
• Responsible for personnel administration and general affairs
• Recruiting songwriters and music publishers to become members
• Entering into and concluding reciprocal agreements with overseas musical copyright associations
